Call for Abstracts – ISRE 2026

We invite scholars from all relevant disciplines to submit abstracts for the 2026 Conference of the International Society for Research on Emotion (ISRE) in Brisbane, Australia. The conference provides a unique opportunity to share cutting-edge research, exchange ideas across disciplines, and connect with colleagues from around the world.

Regular Submissions

• Deadline: 21 November 2025

• Length: Maximum 300 words

• Formats:

• Symposia (up to four talks and a discussant, or five talks). We particularly encourage symposia that bring together speakers from different disciplines to foster cross-disciplinary exchange.

• Individual Talks (15 minutes each)

• Posters

Late-Breaking Submissions

• Deadline: May 2026 (exact date TBA)

• Formats: Flash talks or posters only

This second round is designed to highlight exciting new research that has emerged since the regular submission deadline.

Pre-Conference Events

Proposals are also invited for pre-conference meetings and workshops. Please submit a one-page PDF proposal directly to the Program Chairs:
